Girl on a Swing

We have been working on writing descriptions for writing.   Miss Scott gave us a picture of a girl on a rope swing to write about.  We had to include descriptive writing and what we could see, hear, smell, feel and taste.  It was easy and hard to do.  Here is my writing.

The water was sparkling and clear and I could see my reflection like a photograph in the water. I was swinging gently over the lake and could hear the rippling little waves underneath me. On the shore I could hear children laughing and teenagers making jokes. Their shouting voices were loud and noisy. Suddenly somebody above me cut the rope making my heart beat very fast and wildly, I was very scared and shivering with fear. But I couldn’t move my legs because they were caught in some slimy green seaweed. I could fill my life ending as the breath floated quietly out of me. THE END
